This is my final double page spread. As you can see I have included a quote next to the main picture that has been taken from the text. I decided to use a black and white background so it makes it easier for the user to read and as the rest of my magazine has a black back ground but I wanted to change it for the double page spread to make it seem more interesting. As you can see I have used the opposite colours to the back ground so that you can see all that is being said. I also decided to only use one picture because because when I tried using more than one picture it took away from the text and it made the page look a bit crowded so by only putting in one picture it allows the audience to focus on the text and what is being said. I also made it so you can see the questions asked by the magazine and the replies from George Saunders.
At the top of the second page I included the title to the band and their logo so that the reader knows exactly what band the interview is about, even if they are a first time reader and are just looking through the magazine.
If i was going to make a few changes to the double page spread i would make sure that the reader was able to see the text more clearly and that when the questions were asked that you could clearly see the difference between the question and answer. I would also try and include a slightly smaller and not so dominant image of the whole band because now that i have looked back over my final product i can see that it is lacking in some images and that if i was going to add some more that it would make it more interesting for the user to read.

This is my final contents page. As you can see I have included two main pictures one of which is of one of the main double page spread. The other is of an upcoming star in the world of rock. I have made each number in a bold red so that people are able to see instantly what pages they are looking for. I have used a quote from the double page spread and placed it over a picture of the main focus of the magazine. I made sure I split each section into catergories so that people would be able to see what they are looking for.
As well as including a picture about the main focus of the magazine I have included a picture of an up and coming star in the business for people to look for, and if they turn to the certain page to see what they are looking for. When I was taking the pictures for this page I had to look at what the back ground was going to look like and I decided that the back grounds for both images were not suitable for what i was looking to achieve so i decide to crop them out using photoshop.I made sure that in the image on the top right that I kept the Amp that he was sitting on but as you can see it hasnt really worked out because the writing on the page is covering the image. below is what the original image looked like and you can see why i decided to crop out the back ground i made sure to focus on just the person in the image to show what sort of instrument he would be playing and i also made him put his hodo up to give a relaxed look, like he was trying to come up with a song but relaxing and resting on his Amp as it makes it seem like he is taking things as they home and not putting to much effort into what he was doing.

This is my final front cover. As you can see I included a picture of the main focus of the magazine and who is going to be on the double page spread. I decided to ask the person in the image look crazy and a little bit out of the ordinary because the rocker sterotype is usaully of someone that likes to go out and cause havoc as well as being a bit 'rough around the edges'. I included a bar code to make the cover look more professional. As I was trying to make some changes to the cover I made the mistake of merging all the layers I was then unable to make any changes to the cover. If I was going to add some more to it I would make sure I added a couple more smaller images and included a few more pieces of information so that it looked more appealing to the reader. I would also spend more time trying to align all the text in the left hand third and I would of put some more information. I would try and edit the picture a bit more and maybe add some effects to make it look more professional, as appose to one picture beign place on the cover.

i took inspiration from the magazine Kerrang, as i know this is a well established rock magazine and that they have a large amount of readership. As you can see they alos used one dominant image that covered most of their front cover. However they also included some smaller images which i would of liked to include in mine but as i made the mistake of merging all my layers so i couldnt make an changes to my piece. As you can see the title of my magazine is similar to the title of Kerrang which is what i was intending to do because although i was trying to create new magazine, i wanted to try and keep similar to Kerrang because it is sucessful and i obviously want my magazine to be a sucess.

this is my contents so far, i am thinking about adding another image to it because i feel that after looking about at various contents pages i feel that i should include another image, i have made some of my main headings in red and the page numbers in red because this way it stands out to the reader about what is on each page and it makes it easy for them to see where to look.

i have started to look into what ceratin magazines do around a similar genre to my magazine. the reason i started to do this was because i was running out of ideas and i needed a bit of inspiration so i looked into what sucessful magazines do to attract their readership. i found a couple of images that looked like something i am hoping to have my final outcome.

this is my review of the magazine Kerrang, we had to review the front cover, contents and a double page spread. we had to talk about whether the content of the magezine was the same and followed the same theme as what was shown on the front cover.
